Available Vehicle Plates
APPLYING FOR PERSONALIZED PLATES
An individual that owns or leases any passenger vehicle, motorcycle, or truck registered for 20,000 pounds or less(<20M) may make application for personalized plates at their local County Treasurer's Office.
TRAILERS
Personalized plates cannot be issued for trailers.
CHOOSING LETTER COMBINATION
You may select up to 7 letters including spaces. Once ordered it will take approximately 2 to 8 weeks before you receive a letter in the mail. You will then bring the letter into your local County Treasurer's Office to exchange plates. The cost is $46.00. Motorcycles may have up to
5 letter combination and cost $45.50.
TRANSFERING PLATES
Personalized plates are the only plates that may be transferred from vehicle to vehicle without the vehicle being sold or traded into a dealer.
REFUND
You may bring your plate back with the registration and name of the person you sold it to and apply for a refund at your local County Treasurer's Office. Checks are processed the same day and handed out after 4:00p.m. NO REFUND AVAILABLE FOR TRAILERS.
