EMS

Overview
Seward County Emergency Medical Service (EMS) provides advanced life support to our citizens and the surrounding area. We have one, staffed unit based at the station in Liberal located just east of the hospital that is ready to respond to the 1,600 requests for services we provide each year.

We have an additional four ambulances for backup when the fist-out vehicle is on call. The backup vehicles are manned by crew members from home that respond to the station when the call comes in.

Our Mission
Seward County EMS is committed to providing the highest level of pre-hospital health care by promoting a positive and challenging environment that enables our staff to be the benchmark of efficient, effective, and compassionate pre-hospital care by which other EMS services are measured.

Our Commitment
Seward County EMS is committed to providing many aspects of continuing education classes in the areas of ALS and BLS care throughout the southwest corner of Kansas. Our classes range from additional training for staff, other EMT, and Paramedics, and community classes for CPR and first aid type training. Training is the foundation of our operation and delivery of care.
